RETZLAFF FAMILY REUNION - JULY 18, 1954

The reunion was held in Temple July 18, 1954 with W.F. Retzlaff in charge. The minutes from the 1953 meeting were read and approved.

A song "Abide with Me" was rendered by Weldon and Mary Retzlaff as a memorial to Aunt Mary Retzlaff and Aunt Adeline Urbantke.

Some interesting bits of family history was given by Donald Retzlaff - among them being that there were 289 known direct descendants.

There were 107 present, the largest family was W.F. Retzlaff's with 6 members, longest distance traveled was more than 400 miles by Eleanor Luttes of Rio Hondo and Rosalyn McFarland of Goldsmith. The oldest member present was Mr. Charles Grauke who was 84 today. The youngest was Donald Alan Retzlaff, son of Mr. & Mrs. Donald Retzlaff of Dallas.

It was voted to have the 1955 reunion in Lexington the third Sunday in July, Robert Vance to act as chairman. It was also left to the chairman as to place and food.

Mrs. Levine suggested that signs be placed in convenient places to point the way to the reunion grounds.

We were dismissed with a prayer by Rev. Nolan Vance.
